If you cannot attend, releasing your places helps the host plan and gives someone on the waiting list a chance to join.
Cancel a free booking
- Open My Tickets (opens in a new tab) and find the booking you want to cancel.
- Choose Cancel ticket, or Withdraw request if you are waiting for approval.
- Read the confirmation carefully, including the number of seats being released, then confirm.
Cancelled tickets stop working at the door. You can register again while registration is open and places are available, but your old place is not held for you.
Review a booking cancellation
If there is no cancellation option
- The ticket may already be cancelled, or the event itself may have been cancelled.
- Self-service cancellation closes when the event’s registration cutoff is reached.
- A ticket that has already been checked in cannot be cancelled here. Ask the team at the door if the check-in was a mistake.
- Paid bookings cannot be cancelled through this action. Contact the host about a refund.
When the host reschedules
Check the new date, time and timezone on the event page or in the reschedule email. Your existing booking moves with the event.
If the email includes reply links, use one to confirm you are still coming or to say you can no longer attend. Review the reply page before submitting your choice.
Choosing to drop out releases the whole eligible free booking, including its seats. Download a fresh PDF or ticket image if you are still coming and want a copy with the updated details.

When the host cancels
The event page stays available with a cancellation notice and the host’s reason. The tickets no longer stand, so you do not need to cancel the booking yourself.
For questions about the event, use the contact or social links the host has shared on the event page or their profile.
