Open Events (opens in a new tab), choose the event, then choose More for rescheduling and cancellation. Review the affected guests and event date carefully, especially when the event belongs to a series.
Move the event
- Choose More → Reschedule.
- Set the new schedule and check its timezone. Add a message explaining the change if it will help guests.
- Review the audience and the change shown in the dialog, then confirm.
When the start, timezone or all-day setting changes, RealEvents emails the affected audience. Confirmed bookings stay valid, calendar updates are sent, and supported Wallet passes are updated. Eligible free bookings get reply links to confirm attendance or drop out.
Use the Reply column and filters in Guests to see responses to the latest reschedule. If the event moves to a different local day, previous active check-ins are cleared so guests can be checked in again.
Reschedule an event
Edit an event with no audience
For a draft or an event with nobody to notify, change the schedule directly in Edit event. When a published event has an audience, those schedule fields point you to Reschedule instead.
A published event with confirmed or pending tickets cannot be returned to Draft. Use the appropriate reschedule or cancellation action to change plans for an event with guests.
Cancel the event
- Choose More → Cancel event.
- Enter a reason guests can understand and review the people who will be notified.
- Confirm the cancellation only when you are ready to call off that event.
Registration closes, the waiting list closes, and affected guests are emailed. Tickets no longer stand. The public event page stays available with the cancellation reason, and a series keeps a visible cancelled entry.
Cancelling one event does not cancel the rest of its series. Drafts and ended events cannot be cancelled through this action.
