Create your first event

Set up your page, publish it, and share it with guests.

Start with the essentials: what is happening, when and where it takes place, and how many people can attend. You can add more detail as you go.

Set up your organiser

Sign in and open Become an organiser  (opens in a new tab) to create your organiser. Choose its name and public link, and read the alpha acknowledgement. This is the profile guests see under “Hosted by” on your events.

If you are already on a team, open your dashboard  (opens in a new tab). If you belong to more than one organiser, check the name at the top and use Switch before creating the event.

Create and publish

  1. Choose New event  (opens in a new tab) from your dashboard.
  2. Add a clear title and description. Choose a cover and theme that suit the event.
  3. Set the date, start time, end time if needed, and timezone. Add the venue or online details and any arrival instructions.
  4. Review the ticket setup and capacity. Turn on Advanced if you need several ticket types, approval, or registration questions.
  5. Choose Create Event to publish, or Save as draft to keep working before guests can register.

Event editor

The editor brings the event details and ticket setup together. This example is a draft ready to review. Example event and guest details.

Share and manage your event

Copy the event link after publishing and share it with your guests. Open the public page to check the details they will see.

Open Events  (opens in a new tab) and choose the event to manage it. Overview shows progress, Guests holds the guest list, and Registration summarises ticket settings. If a form is linked, the Form tab shows the answers. Use Edit event to change the details.

For a repeating event, add the dates before publishing or manage the events together in a series. Each event has its own bookings.
